Today we read the book about Australia, "Are We There Yet?". We had a little circle and sang Wheels on the Bus and added the paper towel roll to our shoebox puppet stand. We made a game with a snowman picture and beads that I saw online. The hat has a number written on it and the kids put the corresponding amount of "buttons" on the snowman. Ivy brought a Valentine memory game for us too.

It was too cold out today, just 15 degrees, so we did not attempt to go outside, we used the tunnel-- plus our usual climbing on cushions. Lately standing on the little chairs and jumping down has been popular- it is important for them to get their gross motor activity especially when we are stuck inside!

We got outside today! Dave plowed a path in the back yard and the little ones were happy- unless they tried to go into the deep snow! They learned pretty fast :-)

Alana made some little books today. She cut them out and wrote the words and pictures. Just a few pictures-- and a bunch of Brian sliding down the hill across the street

Tuesday February 4th
