We've been playing "Going On a Bear Hunt" lately. We pretend to go through tall grass- "swishy-swashy, swishy-swashy", gooey mud "Squilch-squelch, squilch-squelch", either swim or row across a river- if we row we sing "row, row your boat". We "click" on a flashlight in the bear's cave. Then we go in reverse and run into the house- but we forget to shut the door! and run back down to do so.
Sooo, if you hear any of these words or sound effects- you will know where they are coming from! :-)
Today our silver tea set is nice and shiny! Phaedra, Lelia, Addison, Ivy and Charli all polished it with toothpaste at some point throughout the morning. We also had water and funnels in the sensory table. The ride on cars are still popular- I put them away when Jack is having his floor time though!
Today was nice and sunny but the wind was nippy, I was glad the children had their warm gear! I am hoping the snow and mud will hold off and that we can dispense with snowpants- but so far we have really needed them! We'll keep the snowpants and boots til further notice.
