Wednesday November 27

B~ Pancakes, bananas, milk
S~ Applesauce, fortune cookies, filtered water
L~ Whole wheat spaghetti with Ragu Robusto sauce and Parmesan cheese, clementines, bread and butter, milk

We read many books on this very rainy day: Curious George Makes Pancakes, Friends by Eric Carle (several times), The Wheels on the Bus, 5 Monkeys Jumping on the Bed, and The Gingerbread Man.

It was fun making turkeys this week. When we do an adult-directed activity like this, I try to have the children do as much as possible and have as many choices as possible for colors- especially when I am telling them where to place things. I love when they put their own signature/style to cookie-cutter crafts--
so I hope you enjoy your multi-color turkeys this year :-)

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving Holiday and long weekend!

It is hard to "smile" and keep your eyes open at the same time! :-)

I have an interview set up for Saturday for a 15mo old boy on a full-week schedule. The family sounds very nice and I am hoping it will work out. As always, I will use you all as references :-)

This morning we read many new books from the library including "Curious George Makes Pancakes" so it followed that we would have pancakes for breakfast. We also read Eating the Alphabet, Dinosaur Rescue!, Dog in Boots, Goldilocks and the Three Bears, 5 Little Monkeys-Don't Wake Up Mama, Llama, Llama Mad at Mama, and Llama, Llama Mad at Mama. Daniel gave us "Old MacDonald Had a Farm" and we also read Brown Bear, Brown Bear.

We filled the birdfeeders today. We talk about the importance of taking care of the birds in the cold weather. I love how the kids love the responsibility and enjoy filling the feeders up!
