Today Daniel had the place to himself. He played with many things this morning and then we took a walk over by the gazebo. There is construction going on across from Walgreen's and we walked over but couldn't get a very good view of the excavator. We did see lots of cars and trucks and even a few tractor trailers. Brian and Toby walked along with us.
We sang many songs together: Itsy Bitsy Spider (several times) ABC's, Tommy Thumb, The Arms Go Up The Arms go down, and several others. He finally started telling me "no" when I tried a few other songs- he let me know he had enough of my singing lol
Daniel picked up a baby doll today, and I started labeling eyes, nose, mouth etc. He didn't repeat me but when I was done, he got the doll and started labeling eyes, nose, mouth, ears, and added some that I had not said such as arms and head :-)
When we got back, Daniel climbed on the stumps, crossed from one to another and then climbed off again. He had a blast practicing this and he repeated the sequence four times. I love watching them practice a new skill- they really focus and show great determination and persistence! :-)

Daniel with the legos |

Blocks and bells |
Tool kit |
Xylophone |
Ball drop |
He was very excited as he pressed them down all at once |
Daniel climbs onto the stump |
He crosses over to the next stump |
Daniel reaches up for the tree branch- like he sees the oldest kids do |
He lowers himself to sit |
And from his seated position he climbs off |
Daniel was very pleased with his abilities! |
A few minutes later, he climbed again |
He repeated his stump-climbing and crossing 4x before we went in to lunch |
